On Stage
Still Rocky Horror — with a Stranger Things twist!
Who We Are
We are one of Dayton's oldest Rocky Horror Picture Show shadowcasts — a community of performers, weirdos, and lovers of all things campy who come together to celebrate one of the most beloved cult films of all time.
The Dayton Affair brings Rocky Horror to the Miami Valley to spread queer joy, build community, and deliver campy fun in a safe, inclusive space for all.
"Don't dream it. Be it."
The Performers
Adrienne has been bringing Janet Weiss to life since 2009, surviving the hiatus and fighting to bring The Dayton Affair back to the Miami Valley. In 2025 she reclaimed the name and took the reins as Director — because nobody puts Rocky Horror in a corner. She's on a mission to make sure Dayton's oldest shadowcast lives on.
A self-described "asshole" with a heart of gold. John brings Brad's awkward charm to life every single show.
Oh, Brad! Alex is no slut — just a very enthusiastic performer who lives for the pelvic thrust.
Handyman extraordinaire and master of the dramatic entrance. Morgan's Riff Raff is the stuff of Dayton legend.
A domestic and a sibling. Sam's glare alone could stop traffic on I-75.
We're always looking for bold, passionate performers. Think you've got what it takes? Reach out!
Got Questions?
A shadowcast is a live performance troupe that acts out the movie in front of the screen while it plays. We dress as the characters, lip sync the lines, and perform the choreography in real time — right in the theater!
Expect organized chaos, costumes, audience participation, and a whole lot of fun. People yell callbacks at the screen, throw props, and dance in the aisles. It's a judgment-free zone — come as you are or dress up!
Prop bags are bags of goodies used during the show — things like toast, noisemakers, and more. We sell them at the merch table before the show. Grab one before the show starts!
Anything goes! Come in costume, come dressed up, or just come as you are. Rocky Horror is all about self-expression, and everyone is welcome exactly as they are.
Absolutely. The Dayton Affair is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for everyone — regardless of age, identity, or background. We have zero tolerance for harassment of any kind.
We're always looking for passionate performers! Reach out to us through the contact form below or find us on social media. No experience necessary — just enthusiasm!
